Really Wednesday: Gym for Women

I'm not sure that I would want to go to this gym as it looks a little bit scary to me. This a really big sign in the MRT station at Pioneer. I just looks so strange that every time I see it I just want to laugh.

Really Wednesday: Flush

Okay I kind of agree with this. No one likes walking into a stinky bathroom. I just really like the little people and how funny they look. I like how they don't look Singaporean. Hmm... is this maybe not directed at Asians? Well maybe if they weren't so shocked I would be able to tell but for now we will just have to assume that they are rather strange looking people.

Really Wednesday: Don't Stand on the Toilet Seat

I don't know why but I have heard that these are necessary for people here. I guess they just don't know how to use a sitting toilet. I find it pretty funny and really enjoying seeing them when I go in the bathroom. I'm entertained every time.

Old Sign

Cattle and Horses in Singapore. I'd like to know where they are I haven't seen any green space where they could be kept. All of the green space here is in parks and it seems like any cattle or horses would not be sanitary enough for Singapore.

The bathroom sign that makes you laugh or at least go what? Why are their guys on a sign in the girls room?

Elevator Floors

These are the floors on the elevator and you have no idea how many times I go to the wrong floor because I think I need to go up as logically 5 is higher than 3 when I really need to be going down. Why did they do this to me?

Big Snail

A really big Snail which I saw near where I live.

This snail was right down the sidewalk from where I live. The seem to come out when it rains a little. I don't know where they go but I only see them at night and in the morning.

Really Wednesday, ShiLin Sign

What exactly does this mean? I think they had a bad translator for this sign. I'm not sure what the Chinese says but the English is very confusing and doesn't make much sense.

Even the little kid seems to have gotten a cigarette somewhere.

I thought he would have been taught better but I guess not.

Really Wednesday, Chips

Cucumber Flavor? They really have them here. I ate almost the entire bag and unlike Matthew who had an immediate revulsion to them I couldn't decide if I hated them or didn't mind them. I would eat a couple and contemplate the cucumber of them and then eat a few more and think okay that is enough and put them down but then a couple minutes later I'd have another one. So did I like them or hate them is hard to say. I wouldn't get them again. They were very different from what is expected from chips, they did stimulate the taste buds, into wondering, "what the hell did you just give me?"

Really Wednesday, Statue

Is she touching herself? Okay maybe that is just the feeling I get but look at where her hands are. This is in a Dangon park a place where there are little kids. Maybe it is just a really big hipped woman and she is modest. But I don't think so as she is only covering one breast.

Really Wednesday, Ice-Cream

What is this brand of Ice-cream? It says "Leading Premium Ice Cream in the U.S." So is there really a brand called Dreyer's or is this a different brand and they changed the name in China?

So Matthew and I are at a park and I see this sign. I had heard that the Chinese liked to use cute signs to keep people off the grass. This is good.

Really Wednesday, Toothpaste

For those of you out there that just have to smoke and you don't want cigarett stains on your teeth China has the solution. A tooth paste just for you for $3.50.

Really Wednesday, French Cafe

The French Cafe is a bar and restaurant. After looking at their squatting toilet I agree with the sign. The wording of the sign is what gains it a place as my first official "Really Wednesday" post.

Really Wednesday

So I have decided to try something. I don't know if I will be able to keep it going but my plan is that every Wednesday I will post a picture that makes me go "Really?" I already have posted three, the guy spying on the girl for the Hump bathroom sign, the Smoking Allowed sign and the billboard of the little kid peeing. As I keep seeing things that make me go Really? I thought maybe I would dedicated a day of the week to this. Wednesday seems like as good a day as any and I like the way "Really Wednesday" sounds so that is the day I choose. Some of the things I post may not make you feel the same way, but they are things that interest me.

So from now on I will save these pictures for "Really Wednesday."
