Really Wednesday, Ice-Cream

What is this brand of Ice-cream? It says "Leading Premium Ice Cream in the U.S." So is there really a brand called Dreyer's or is this a different brand and they changed the name in China?

  1. There is actually a Brand of Ice Cream in the states called Dreyers I believe you can find it west of the Mississippi. Breyers is the one on the east coast. I don't know if they are affiliated.

Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream Holdings, Inc., a subsidiary of Nestlé, is a United States-based producer of ice cream and frozen yogurt. Its products are marketed under the Dreyer's name in the Western United States and West Coast, and under the Edy's name in the Eastern United States and East Coast. This is to honor the company's two founders: William Dreyer, an ice cream maker, and Joseph Edy, a confectioner.[1] Aside from the name, both brands are identical. The Edy's name was added when Dreyer's expanded towards the East Coast in the 1980s to avoid confusion with the Breyers brand which had already established itself on the Eastern Seaboard.[2][3]

  3. They serve Dreyer's here at school all the time. I was confused at first as well, but it is the same as Edy's.
